Julianne Hofschrager was the interim CEO of Galweather & Stearn, who took on the job after she wasted $100 million in a failed run for governor. She has a self stated reputation for "turning around small internet companies". In season three, she was replaced by the Rainmaker.
Hofschrager became CEO after the Rainmaker became embroiled in a sexual harassment scandal - brought to attention by Jeannie in order to prevent a hostile takeover of the company - and was forced to resign. She proclaimed that there would be a new era at the company, namely one of inclusion and gender equality. Upon her induction, she offered Jeannie a promotion that was ultimately nothing more than a title in hopes of appeasing her and convincing her not to file a class action lawsuit against G&S. She frequently threatened Marty Kaan and inadvertently pushed him to start up his own firm.
